Posted - 08/18/2009 : 00:46:15 i ran across this on nra website. wondering if anyone has ever tried one of these holster shirts and if they are comfertable, any printing etc.... i figured for 45 bucks i might order one and see how i like it. kinda looks like an underarmor shirt with pockets on either side.

Posted - 08/21/2009 : 23:19:48 thanks trevor. for 28.95 cant really go wrong trying out that standard holster. looks pretty comfertable also and wouldnt have to worry about the itching. |

Posted - 08/20/2009 : 09:06:12 As an alternative to that shirt, try one of these. http://www.deepconceal.com/ I wear mine when I absolutely need to conceal and the PPS disappears into it. I always wear it over a regular t-shirt or beater and under a button-down shirt. As far as drawing, I always keep the collar and next button unbuttoned and if go into condition orange, just unbutton the next button to be ready and it's just as easy to draw as my pancake holster under a shirt. It is cheap and can easily be washed. If you can't decide between sizes get the larger size... |

Posted - 08/20/2009 : 08:00:53 I tried one of these shirts a couple of times. I found the seams to be very irritating and finaly gave up on it. I might be to sensitive for it |

Posted - 08/19/2009 : 23:59:19 thanks gun. those were some good reads. looks like it might have its place as a backup or office carry. unfortunatley i work in a courthouse and its illegal in mn to carry in a courthouse unless you are leo. looks like it could be good for jogging and biking, both of which i enjoy. sounds like itchyness is kinda an issue also. for now i will stick with my supertuck. next summer i may consider buying one |

note: it's really designed to work with the 5.11 concealment button up shirts, which have a false button or two in the sternum area, which actually happen to a snap style button. So, you can draw just by pulling the snaps apart, and reach in.
It would be pretty tough to use with a T shirt I think. I've been tempted to get one, and the PPS is probably the most natural platform to use it with. |

Posted - 08/18/2009 : 19:55:04 point well taken ragin. i thought the same thing. if its comfertable and concealable it may be worth it as a backup to a iwb holster. for 45 bucks i may give it a try. if i dont like it i guess i can always wear it like an under armor shirt when i ref football. dont worry, i wont be carrying during the games:) |

Posted - 08/18/2009 : 05:57:17 That looks pretty useful, I would like to see someone's review on it and maybe some photos with a pistol concealed. Only problem I see is accessing the pistol quickly; reach through the collar, or if it's a button up shirt over it rip off your buttons? Might be hard to practice drawing without going through a lot of sewing buttons on :). |
