| Can you somehow look up the serial number of your PPS to find out how old it is? Mine starts with AC. |

45FAN, Mine has an AI designation and it was mfg. in 2008. Look at the letters lasered by the staghorn, not the serial no.

| If you bought the gun new, you can also look at the spent test casing. The little envelope has a date on it. Im not sure if all guns include this, but I know some states require it. |

ok, I did look at the post. Thanks PK! Mine is actually AK whick means its an '09, which is great being that I bought it used! It seems broken in pretty good though... theres verry little wear, only near ejector and top of chamber! Id say theres probably a few hundred rounds thru it... I put a little over 100 so far without any failures!

I actually DID read the thread. The OP was interested in "ANY" way to tell how old his weapon is. The link I provided did just that.
But thank you very much for your time and concern and your courteous post

PPS- Concealed carry perfection. Walther made the gun that Glock should have / didn't make. |

AWESOME!! Welcome to the PPS fan club! Congrats on the purchase. This little powerhouse will soon become one of your favorites if not you absolute favorite!

you are correct in that the link you provided was helpful. no-one, including me, said that it wasn't. your post was extremely helpful for the OP and anyone else looking for that information. however, the passive-aggressive approach is completely unnecessary. i was not pointing out any faults (though i could have). i was simply helping out the OP, since it is easy to just see the chart and compare that to the serial number (as i did originally) which would give him incorrect info (such as that you provided with your, "AC would be '02 I believe" statement).

I went with what info I was given. I'm just glad he got what he needed. Sorry bout the post last eve. Now that I see what you meant by the post, I misunderstood your intention. Sincere apologies, just a misunderstanding of intentions.

Yes, I know an AC gun was not manufactured in 2002 - they weren't even out yet ! And I looked at two local gun dealers, which have NEW AD guns in stock. Well I certainly don't think those were made back in 2003....
